Our first stop will be at The Joliet Railroad Museum, a former circa 1913 interlocking signal tower, known locally as Union Depot Tower, The Joliet Railroad Museum features information on the railroad companies that operated lines through Joliet and their ensuing legacies. After our tour, we will head to the nearby Martin & Emma Planinsek Museum. The house museum emulates a corner grocery store in operation from 1926 through 1961, owned and operated by Slovenian immigrants Martin and Emma Planinsek. Following our tours, we will have lunch at a nearby restaurant. Fee includes transportation, tours, and lunch.
