Skatium Ice Arena hockey classes are divided into three programs. The Future Flyers program is for kids who have yet to play organized hockey. We offer leagues for players already on a team. And finally, we offer an adult instructional program. All classes are designed to improve a player's base of knowledge & skill. We offer our programs to all ages & abilities.

For league play, we offer Youth House League, Adult 30 & Adult Recreational. Youth House League is for the 5-17 year olds who have taken classes or acquired the skills to play on an organized team. The Adult 30 & Adult Recreational Leagues are directed at specific levels and ages of players. The 30 League is for players who are 30 years of age and older. The Recreational League is for Adult Novice players or players who have not played in awhile. The 30 League is for team entry only. The Recreational & Youth House Leagues are for individual player sign up only.

We hope you enjoy your hockey experience in Skokie. We look forward to seeing you in a class or league soon. If you have any additional questions please contact Hockey Director Steve Glickman at (847) 674-1500, ext. 2926 or email Steve Glickman.

  • Please check-in at the Skatium office no earlier than 5 minutes before your scheduled party time. If you require set-up time, please invite your guests to arrive 10-15 minutes after your start time.
  • Please respect the party ahead of yours by refraining from entry into the rink or room until they have cleared the area.
  • All personal belongings must be removed from the room and, or ice rink when your allotted time is concluded so that staff can prepare for the next party. Please be advised that in the event of a late arrival we may not be able to extend your contracted times due to other events scheduled in the facility. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing. Long pants, leggings or tights are strongly encouraged to avoid scrapes on the ice. Baggy clothes are NOT recommended.
  • Because it is an ice rink, wearing layers is recommended, as well as wearing gloves and hats.
