Both the Skokie Park District and Hot Shots Sports offer sports classes for children ages 2–12, most held at the Weber Leisure Center. 

These classes help children develop basic sports movement & knowledge, motor skills, hand-eye and hand-foot coordination, and at older ages more advanced instruction.

The Skokie Park District also offers Early Childhood sports programs at the Weber Leisure Center.

Hot Shots Sports aims to develop young athletes who will grow emotionally, physically, and intellectually in our sports programs. By redirecting the focus away from wins and losses and toward personal growth, we create an hot_shotsenvironment where winning is the byproduct of and not the means to success. 

This approach creates critical thinkers who understand the importance of giving their best in practice, games, and other life endeavors. Our coaches take pride in fostering that drive, and motivating your child to find the champion inside of themselves.

Junior Flag Football

Join the fun as players are introduced to football, learning stances, receiving, rushing, blocking and defense. Each week ends with a scrimmage encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship. All players get to play either receiver or running back each week. Games focus on fundamentals and field concepts, as well as positions and mechanics. No equipment necessary. No class 11/29.

Featuring a new sport each week they include basketball, floor hockey, football, kickball, soccer, and baseball. In addition, participants play many popular running and group games. Girls Multi-Sport Clinic

This multi-sport program allows participants to try new skills and achieve goals in an environment tailored for girls. Young girls derive many benefits from participating in sports, such as confidence, higher self-esteem, and a positive body image. Participants are taught fundamentals as well as basic skill development in a variety of sports. Games and scrimmages encourage team play and interaction in a safe and active setting encouraging physical fitness and teamwork.

Game Time Volleyball League

Learn team dynamics and develop volleyball skills, strategies, and techniques. The Hot Shots Sports coaches will conduct a skills session each week, followed by multiple timed games.
