Whether your preference is hockey, figure skating, or recreational skating, the Skatium Ice Arena has something for everyone. Programs are taught by ice arena and affiliate organization professionals who provide comprehensive ice skating programs and leagues for all ages and abilities. A full-size rink as well as a smaller rink can be used for private parties or roller hockey during the summer. Open for public skating, year-round.

Practice ice allows figure skaters to practice on their own, take private lessons with their coaches, run their competition programs with music, and prepare for moves, ice dance and freestyle tests. Non-staff coaches are welcome to teach at the Skatium. Please contact Skating Director Christine Hathaway for non-staff coach requirements at (847) 674-1500, ext. 2925.

Fees
60-minute session: $12 with Easy Card or $15 drop-in
45-minute session: $10 with Easy Card or $13 drop-in

If you skate during a 60-minute session, then you must purchase a 60-minute session. If your skater's private lesson is only 30 minutes, they will have the other 30 minutes for practice. Skaters must have an Easy Card on file. If no Easy Card is on file, you will be charged the drop-in rate. The session must be paid for in the office before taking the ice. Drop-in rates are NOT available for morning sessions. Sign-in is required.

Mammoth Amateur Hockey Association

MAHAThe MAHA program is designed to meet the needs and interests of players from 8U–18U looking for a high-level competitive ice hockey experience. For more information visit MAHA’s website at www.mammothhockey.org.

The Skatium will be hosting our 47th Annual Ice Show entitled "Icons: From the Beatles to Beyoncé." Performances will be held Thursday, May 18 at 7 p.m.; Friday, May 19 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, May 20 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, May 21 at 2 p.m.

Performers should get measured for their ice show costume during Skate School classes in the lobby and return their registration form to the office with payment. Skater registration will continue through Saturday, February 25. There will be a short two week registration for new spring session Snowplow Sam 1 and Basic 1 skaters from March 13–25. Please see the Ice Show letter and Costume Form for all details, including cost to participate and rehearsal schedule.

Tickets will go on sale via BrownPaperTickets.com on Sunday, April 23 at 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 per seat plus a service charge. Tickets are for reserved seating; anyone sitting in a seat (including performers) will need to purchase a ticket.  

Ice show rehearsals will begin on Saturday, April 29.  

Ice Show Group and Soloist/Duet Picture Day is Sunday, May 7.

All skaters will receive a digital download of the ice show! A link will be emailed the week after the show. Skaters can download their favorite performances to share it with friends and family.
