This week, all residents of the Skokie Park District should receive the district’s Summer 2020 Program Guide in the mail. Because the guide went to print in March before the park district closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the status of special events and programs listed in the guide remain very fluid.

Currently, the district has cancelled only a few special events in May. As more scientific information becomes available to state and local leaders, more decisions will be made as to when the Skokie Park District will reopen — or the length of time that it will remain closed.

With that in mind, you may monitor cancelled programs (to date only a few special events) by looking at the online version of the Summer Guide here.

If the stay at home order is extended and the park district remains closed past April 30, staff will announce the details immediately, which may change the status of some or all summer programs, as well as the May 15 registration date for all programs.

Please keep an eye on our website for updated information. And please remember to stay safe, adhering to district policies regarding usage of Skokie parks.
