With the recent news that London band Jesus Jones has cancelled their U.S. tour, Los Angeles band ‘Strangelove: The Depeche Mode Experience’ will now headline Skokie’s Backlot Bash on Saturday, bringing the ‘80s Rock and Roll Hall of Famers’ electronic rock to life on the Skokie stage.

Depeche Mode has sold more than 100 million records, including the hit singles Personal Jesus, Strangelove and Enjoy the Silence.

"They do it to such fine detail that's it's scary. They're obviously big fans and they play to very big crowds. They have videos that they've made, screens behind them, it's a full-on production,” said Depeche Mode founder, guitarist and songwriter Martin Gore.

UK band Jesus Jones yesterday announced their tour cancellation due to “circumstances beyond their control.” Strangelove will take the Backlot main stage on Saturday, August 23 at 8:45 p.m.
