Strangelove, Elements, Tributosaurus to headline

Note: An earlier version of this story indicated that Jesus Jones would headline Saturday night, August 23. The band announced their U.S. tour cancellation due to “circumstances beyond their control.” on June 11.

Skokie's Backlot Bash will be back this summer, and we have the lowdown on every band!

Los Angeles band ‘Strangelove: The Depeche Mode Experience’ will headline Skokie’s Backlot Bash on Saturday, bringing the ‘80s Rock and Roll Hall of Famers’ electronic rock to life on the Skokie stage. Depeche Mode has sold more than 100 million records, including the hit singles Personal JesusStrangelove and Enjoy the Silence.

"They do it to such fine detail that's it's scary. They're obviously big fans and they play to very big crowds. They have videos that they've made, screens behind them, it's a full-on production,” said Depeche Mode founder, guitarist and songwriter Martin Gore.

Elements_singersElements: The Definitive Earth, Wind & Fire Tribute, are a 10-piece funk band that will weave their way through the dozens of masterful hits of '70s six-time Grammy winners Earth Wind And Fire, including their signature vocals, horns and dance steps.

Local studio musicians Tributosaurus will become Van Halen, the iconic '80s hard rock band that gave us the amazing solos, riffs and runs of guitarist Eddie Van Halen.
