Skokie Heritage Museum names new program coordinator

Sydney O’Hare was recently hired as the Skokie Heritage Museum’s program coordinator. In this newly created position, she will be responsible for the development and instruction of school group programs, as well as supervising museum programs, special events, tour group visits and summer camps.

She will also assist the museum supervisor with museum operations, the supervision and maintenance of the Skokie Heritage Museum, as well as exhibit preparations and installations.

Before her employment at the Skokie Park District, O’Hare previously worked developing historical and museum exhibits at Sinai Health System, the Chicago History Museum, the DePaul University History Department, the Chicago Metro History Fair and at Phantom Lake YMCA Camp.

O’Hare graduated from DePaul University in Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in history. In her spare time she enjoys reading, sewing, and exploring Chicago.
