The Skokie Park District board of commissioners unanimously voted on Tuesday to amend the district conduct ordinance regulating the use of the parks and property owned or controlled by the Skokie Park District.

Among the changes was an ordinance that now prohibits electric/motorized devices from Skokie Park District parks. The language includes, but is not limited to: "No Person shall ride a low-speed electric bicycle, e-bike, low speed electric scooter, or other electric or power driven device on Skokie Park District property at any time. The prohibition set forth herein shall not apply where necessary to make a reasonable accommodation for access to or use of district property under the Americans with Disabilities Act."
