New playground opens at Timber Ridge Park

In the summer of 2000, the Skokie Park District, in conjunction with Evanston Township School District 65, oversaw the installation of a "big toys wooden playground" structure at Bessie Rhodes Magnet School, located next to Timber Ridge Park. This playground served both the public and Rhodes School for sixteen years.

In August 2016, the Skokie Park District removed the deteriorating wood playground and replaced it with a state-of-the-art structure, featuring new climbing, spinning and swing elements.

The project officially was completed and opened to the school and to the public on September 23.
