Meet your local cops at National Night Out

Stop by your neighborhood Skokie park and meet the police officers who serve your community.

The Skokie Police Department’s Crime Prevention/Community Relations Unit hosts the 3rd Annual National Night Out Campaign this August.  The campaign features Skokie Police officers visiting several parks within the Village and answering questions about community.

Pack a picnic or just go for a stroll with the family to any of the scheduled parks and meet the officers that are assigned to your neighborhood.  The National Night Out campaign complements the Skokie Police Department’s “Know Your Officer” program by providing Skokie residents with a unique opportunity to meet police officers.  These activities provide the opportunity to have questions and concerns personally addressed.

The National Night Out schedule is:

  • Monday, August 4 from 5 to 5:55 p.m. -  Lee/Wright Park, 4840 Lee Street
  • Monday, August 4 from 6 to 6:55 p.m. - Winnebago Park, 8315 Knox Avenue
  • Monday, August 4 from 7 to 7:55 p.m. - Tecumseh Park, 4810 Hull Street
  • Wednesday, August 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. - Village Hall/Village Green, 5127 Oakton Street
