Visit our old-fashioned County Fair

Step back in time and experience all of the fun of a county fair! Enjoy sing-a-longs and stories with your favorite princesses as well as other live musical performances. Activities include a petting zoo, hay wagon rides, giant twister, a pumpkin jump, animal playground bounce houses, mini-pumpkin decorating, an interactive circus, fantasy face painting, games, contests, prizes, arts and crafts. Tasty concession items for sale include popcorn, pretzel bites and fancy drinks by Touhy Fruitti.

Scream Scene will scare the wits out of you!

With its chainsaw maniacs and insane clown maze, Scream Scene has been terrifying visitors for two decades. Held every October in Skokie, each haunting season features new characters, sets and scenes, making every year more frightening than the last. (Not recommended for children under 10 years old.)

Things That Go Bump in the Night - October 18-19
Meet some of the fascinating but often misunderstood critters of Emily Oaks! This popular event is intended to be fun and informative, and NOT frightening. As you're guided along the trail, you will watch three skits with costumed characters. Your visit will end at a campfire featuring snacks and songs. For all ages.

Wear your favorite Halloween costume and join us for a family-friendly Halloween skate!

Monster Bash - October 26

Boomers & Beyond Resource Fair - free!

Don't miss your chance to ask questions of healthcare professionals and other experts in the field of aging, as they converge under one roof! Learn about programs and services designed to help people age with grace and independence while living an active lifestyle. Attendees will receive helpful information and expert advice about local resources, community-based programs, state and federal benefits, volunteer opportunities, fitness and nutrition, legal assistance, financial products, social and cultural activities, lifelong education, senior housing, assistive devices and more. In addition to an exhibit area featuring more than 40 vendors, there will be refreshments, numerous giveaways and free interactive education topics such as Non-Medication Based Pain Treatment for Chronic Pain, Social Engagement, Volunteerism, Home Safety and Prevention of Falls.
