Skokie's Backlot Dash 5K Run

Skokie's Backlot Dash 5K and the Kid's Half-Mile Color Fun Run will be held in Downtown Skokie (in and around the grounds of Skokie's Backlot Bash). The 5K course is USATF certified and participants will be chip-timed. 5K Participants will receive t-shirts and one free beer. All kids will receive a t-shirt and medal.

Age groups for the 5K are as follows: Male and female – 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85 and over.

Packet pick-up:

  • Thursday, August 21: 9 a.m.-8:30 p.m., Weber Leisure Center, 9300 Weber Park Place, Skokie
  • Friday, August 22: 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Weber Leisure Center, 9300 Weber Park Place, Skokie 
  • Friday, August 22: 5-7 p.m., Skokie's Backlot Bash (at the intersection of Floral St and Oakton St.) 
  • Race Day, Saurday, August 23: 6:30-7:45 a.m., 5215 Oakton St. Skokie (pick-up is inside Skokie's Backlot Bash grounds, at the beer tent on Oakton Street.)

6:30 – 7:45 a.m.
Kids' Half-Mile Color Fun Run
8 a.m.
5K race begins
8:30 a.m.
The awards ceremony will follow the 5K

The 5K course will close promptly at 9:30 a.m., and participants will be asked to move to the sidewalk to complete the race.
