Explore the magic of Japanese Indigo! Participants will learn about how and why plants make color and experience the magic of the indigo oxidation (turning blue before your eyes!). Each participant will process fresh Japanese indigo and dye a small item. Participants will also learn about shibori, a Japanese indigo dyeing technique, and shibori dye a cotton bandana. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult.

For ages 10 and up.

Fee per person: $25 (resident) / $32 (non-resident).
