Skokie residents contributed to a millennium time capsule in 2000, and it has been stored safely at the library. Now, after 25 years, it’s time to open it. What will we find inside? Celebrate the opening of Skokie's time capsule from the year 2000 with these fun events:

Skokie civic leaders will unseal the time capsule to reveal artifacts from 25 years ago, followed by a reception and an opportunity to reflect on the past 25 years in Skokie. This is a joint project of the Skokie Historical Society, the Village of Skokie, the Skokie Park District, and Skokie Public Library.
