Skokie's Backlot Bash will be back this summer, and we have the lowdown on every band!

Independent rockers Lucky Boys confusion will headline the three-day downtown street festival on Saturday, the weekend of August 28-30. Friday night will feature Rod Tuffcurls & The Benchpress. On Sunday, Tributosaurus will become Santana.

Lucky Boys Confusion formed in 1997 in DuPage County and went national with Elektra Records in the early '00s. Local session musicians Tributosaurus will become Santana, with a set showcasing the decades-spanning career of guitar superstar, Carlos Santana. Rod Tuffcurls & The Benchpress is known for a humorous, entertaining pop spin on everything from The Beatles to Madonna to Dave Matthews Band.

Now in its nineteenth year, the Bash will feature 15 other live music acts that will play on two festival stages over three days. The complete lineup is:

Sunday, August 30

6:30 PM – Tributosaurus becomes Santana (rock)

The three-day Bash will also host a carnival midway, a large beer tent, the Backlot Dash 5K Run and Half Mile Youth Color Fun Run, a bingo tent, events at the Skokie Heritage Museum –– and on Sunday, a farmer's market, and the Rotary Pancake Breakfast from 8-11 a.m., featuring a bloody mary & mimosa bar.
