The last four Skokie Park District seasonal program guide covers, Spring '25 through Winter '26, were inspired by the current U.S. National Park posters and the famous WPA (U.S. Works Project Administration) posters of the 1930s. (A current National Park poster is shown at the left. A 1938 WPA poster is seen on the right.)
Created by the district's marketing team, four iconic locations in the Skokie Park District were chosen. Digital photographs taken by staff were then stylized by our graphics team to resemble illustrations. The art was then capped off by a modern homage to the original typeface, a font entitled John Muir Sans.
