Jaffe, Reid win park board seats

Skokie voters spoke yesterday, returning two current commissioners to the Skokie Park District board of commissioners.

Mike Reid (right), the current vice-president of the board, was re-elected for a fourth six-year term. Ezra Jaffe (left), who was appointed to a vacant position by the board in 2021, was also elected to a six-year term.

In recent years the two commissioners have helped to preside over several park renovations, the renovation of the Skatium Ice Arena, as well as annual budgets, programming and events.

Both commissioners will be sworn in at the May 15, 2023 board meeting. See the district's board business page here.

According to the Cook County Clerk, the final results of the election were:

Ezra Jaffe –– 3,032 votes (40.34%)
Mike Reid –– 2,618 votes (34.83%)
Marrissa Seidler –– 1,866 votes (24.83%)
