Join us as we celebrate National Bicycle Safety Month at the Oakton Park (parking lot by basketball courts) on Sunday, May 12th from 1 - 3 p.m. The Skokie Police Department will be hosting bicycle safety courses so come out and test your skills or just get a refresher on the Rules of the Road (Be sure to bring your bike and your helmet)! Local bicycle shops will also be on hand to give your bicycle a free inspection for the start of riding season. This family friendly event will focus on bicycle related traffic laws and bicycle safety to get you prepared to enjoy many bike rides throughout the summer.

Registration is FREE but we are asking for attendees to pre-register so we know how many kids/families we have for giveaways and prizes. After you meet with your local Officers, jump on the Skokie Valley Trail and put those new bicycle skills to use!

Please call/email Nate Bibat at the Skokie Park District nbibat@skokieparks.org or Officer Wilken 847.982.5922/ richard.wilken@skokie.org with any questions.
