Nominating Petitions Avaiable for Park Board

Two Skokie Park District commissioners will be elected to 6-year terms in the April 9, 2013 consolidated election. To be a candidate, interested persons must file nominating petitions signed by 42 qualified voters who are residents of the Skokie Park District.

Nominating petition sheets may be circulated beginning Tuesday, September 25, 2012. They are available in the Administration Office at the Weber Leisure Center,9300 Weber Park Place. Completed petitions must be filed with the park district secretary between December 17 through December 26, 2012 during normal business hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the  Administration Office, Weber Leisure Center, 9300 Weber Park Pl., Skokie, Ill.

Candidates for the office of park commissioner must live within the Skokie Park District and must file a statement of economic interest with the Cook County Clerk.  A statement of candidacy, the nominating petitions, the receipt of economic interest statement, and a loyalty oath (Optional) must be filed with the park district secretary.  Commissioners serve without compensation.
