Skokie's thirteen-acre savanna and nature center is an oasis full of native wildflowers, grasses, oak trees, a three-acre pond, and trails. Residing and visiting urban wildlife includes Great Blue Herons, Coyotes, Flying Squirrels, Northern Water Snakes, Red Foxes and Cooper's Hawks. The indoor nature center offers classes, meeting rooms and the interactive Woodland Wander Inn.
