Each week we will play many different Nerf Elite battle games, including an all-out battle. Come experience this Classic basement game in an arena style team game. All guns, ammo and eye protection will be provided. You can bring your own gun or eye wear if you want. There will be a different theme every week. The first class will be a school color's theme.

Will you survive the night or will a Zombie get to you? Bring the whole family and meet at Oakton Park to play a giant game of tag with a Zombie twist to gear up for Halloween. Tag will be followed by a showing of the movie, Monster House on the Oakton lawn. All participants must pre-register. Feel free to come in costume!

Work with your team on this exciting glow in the dark scavenger hunt. Clues will be hidden throughout Oakton Park for you to uncover on your race to 1st place. Bring your flashlights and we will provide the team glowsticks. Pizza will be served inside the Oakton Community Center before the hunt. This is a drop-off Skokie staff supervised event.

Safe Sitter is prepares students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they're home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises.

An introduction to Aesthetic Group Gymnastics, where children learn to move as a team using rhythm, expression, and full-body coordination. Classes include jump training, movement combinations, and performance-style routines with music. We focus on body awareness, flexibility, and teamwork in a supportive environment.

A focused class that combines flexibility training, body control, and beginner acrobatics. We build skills through stretching, strength work, and movement drills that support other sports or dance. Kids improve posture, balance, and mobility in a safe and encouraging setting. Ideal for those wanting to explore movement more deeply!

This group dives deeper into the world of Aesthetic Group Gymnastics. We work on elegant movements, group routines, and expressive choreography. Training includes body movements, balance work, and jumps with music. Great for kids who enjoy dance and teamwork!

Develop your body, mind and spirit, as you combine yoga postures with deep breathing and awareness, and experience increased energy, flexibility and peace. No prior yoga experience required. No class 11/29.

Students will learn the fundamentals and basics of cheerleading, learning four to five cheers each week, as well as formations, and poms/dance choreography. The last day of class will be a parent watch day, with short student performances.

Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance a child’s motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach. No class 11/26 & 11/29
