Children will get a hands-on introduction to gymnastics, experiencing the joy of movement, balance and creativity in a supportive and fun environment. This free trial is sneak peek into our exciting programs coming to the Skokie Park District

Get ready for a cozy night packed with flavor and fun! Bring your blankets and pillows for maximum comfort as we dive into endless pizza and hit the popcorn bar for wild toppings. We’ll vote on which of three awesome mystery movies to watch, so gather your friends and settle in for a night of surprises, snacks, and cinema!

Students will learn the fundamentals and basics of gymnastics and tumbling. The last class we will invite parents to watch a performance!

Ready, Set, Go! With an enthusiastic counselor by their side, Participants are organized into teams of 4-5, racing through a variety of exciting challenges designed to foster teamwork, problem-solving, and competitive spirit. Whether it's designing a paper airplane to fly a distance, balancing seven Connect Four chips on your teammate’s head, or moving water from one cup to another using just a spoon, each week you can expect new exhilarating challenges!  We accept friend requests and group kids by age — we’ll reach out after registration to ask for any requests!

This class is a great way for kids to improve their flexibility, strength, and movement skills. It works well as extra training for figure skaters, dancers, and cheerleaders, but it’s also a great way for anyone to try gymnastics as a sport. No previous experience is needed, but children should be able to focus and follow instructions.

Introduction to Aesthetic Group Gymnastics (AGG). Over three sessions, kids will learn movement exercises and put together a short choreography to show parents on the last day. They will also get summer training ideas to try at home.

This class focuses on AGG fundamentals, flexibility, and acrobatics, with training tips for summer practice at home.

This is a great way for kids to experience gymnastics! They’ll explore basic gymnastics skills, try apparatus like ropes, hoops and ribbons, improve flexibility, challenge themselves, and build body control. Each clinic is a stand-alone session, but joining all three in June is recommended for the best experience.

"The Ultimate Frisbee league is open to youth ages 9-13. Be part of this fun, fast growing, non-contact sport unique in its emphasis on player leadership through self-officiating. On league night, mixed-gender teams will have a short practice developing skills through activities like throwing accuracy games, partner catching, Randy Moss drills, footwork games and pulling contests, followed by league play. Develop your skills, make new friends, and experience the thrill of being part of a team. All levels and genders are welcome. "

"Ultimate is a fast, fun, easy-to-learn field game played with a disc. It is a non-contact sport combining the athleticism of running and agility with the skills of throwing and catching. Players advance the disc by completing passes to teammates. The Chicago Union professional team offers this week-long camp introducing basic rules, throwing and catching techniques, and offensive/defensive strategies to develop skills through games and activities that emphasize teamwork, good spirit, and the joy of play. Participants also receive a Union disc, shirt, and 4 tickets to a home game. All ability levels are encouraged to join.

Join Chicago Loves Dance with this new class! Develop your body, mind and spirit, as you combine yoga postures with deep breathing and awareness, and experience increased energy, flexibility and peace. No prior yoga experience required. No class 7/5

Great ready for summer as your child travels back in time to the land of Dinosaurs. Young Rembrandts provides a wonderful opportunity for your child to discover and develop his or her drawing abilities. During the month of June, our students will draw images of dinosaurs. A serious T-Rex, prehistoric scene and baby dinosaurs are just some of the drawings our students will illustrate. Enroll your child today!

It’s time to blast off into orbit with Young Rembrandts. Young Rembrandts provides an engaging, creative environment where your child will learn how to draw and strengthen his or her artistic skills. During the month of July, our students will create cartoon illustrations inspired by our household pets. Ant farms, a trip to the groomers and fun on the teeter totter are just some of the drawings our students will illustrate. Enroll your child today

Grab your goggles; Young Rembrandts is taking imaginations Under the Sea. A Young Rembrandts class gives your child the opportunity to strengthen his or her drawing skills. During the month of August, our students will draw the creatures you find in the big blue sea. A friendly sea turtle, ominous hammer head shark, funny snorkeler expressions and a detailed scuba diving scene are just some of the drawings our students will create. A sea filled with fun awaits. Develop your child’s intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance a child’s motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach.

This exciting program from Afterschool Enrichment Solutions brings together elements of science, art and math in a hands-on, action-packed environment! Through exploration of classic literature, inspiring writing exercises, creative language games and collaboration, students will explore different genres, learn and practice grammatical concepts, develop their writing skills, and build confidence in their ability to communicate effectively

Join us for an action-packed battle, in which parents team up with or play against their child in an epic Nerf and Dodgeball showdown. Because safety is our top priority, protective eyewear will be provided, as well as rules that ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants. Nerf guns and ammunition will also be provided.
