Listen closely and you may hear the echoes of skating legends Scott Hamilton, Denis Savard, Evan Lysacek, Sasha Cohen and Stan Mikita!

Whether your preference is hockey, figure skating, or recreational skating, the Skatium Ice Arena has something for everyone. Programs are taught by ice arena and affiliate organization professionals who provide comprehensive ice skating programs and leagues for all ages and abilities. A full-size rink as well as a smaller rink can be used for private parties or roller hockey during the summer. Open for public skating, year-round.

All Ages: $7
Skate Rental: $3

 

Practice ice allows figure skaters to practice on their own, take private lessons with their coaches, run their competition programs with music, and prepare for moves, ice dance and freestyle tests. Non-staff coaches are welcome to teach at the Skatium. Please contact Skating Director Christine Hathaway for non-staff coach requirements at (847) 674-1500, ext. 2925.

Fees
60-minute session: $12 with Easy Card or $15 drop-in

If you skate during a 60-minute session, then you must purchase a 60-minute session. If your skater's private lesson is only 30 minutes, they will have the other 30 minutes for practice. Skaters must have an Easy Card on file. If no Easy Card is on file, you will be charged the drop-in rate. The session must be paid for in the office before taking the ice. Drop-in rates are NOT available for morning sessions. Sign-in on the clipboard is required.

Ice Show Tickets
Tickets will go on sale for performers on Sunday, April 28 at 2 p.m., via SkokieParks.org. You can also reserve your tickets at the Skatium office. All tickets are $11 per seat. All show participants who wish to view this year's production during the official performances MUST have a ticket so that they have a reserved seat. All children over the age of 1 MUST have a seat. Lap sitting for toddlers is not permitted. Car seats are not permitted in the stands. If you require a seat-back, please reserve it in the office after you have ordered your tickets and have your seat numbers.

Permit Parking
The Skokie Park District will be selling preferred parking passes for the Skatium’s Ice Show. These parking passes can only be used for one show and you must select which performance you would like in advance. Parking passes are $5.00 and must be purchased in advance. Sales begin on Monday, April 29. Parking passes can be purchased online at SkokieParks.org>Tickets>Ice Skating or in the office. If you purchase online, you can pick up your pass from the office the next time you are at the rink during business hours.
