Join us as we celebrate National Bike Month at the Oakton Park (parking lot by basketball courts) on Sunday, May 23 from 2 - 4 p.m.
The Skokie Police Department will be running bike safety courses so come out and test your skills or just get a refresher on the rules of the road (Bring your bike and your helmet)!
Local bicycle shops will also be on hand to give your bicycle a free inspection for the start of riding season. They’ll focus on traffic laws and safety to get you prepared to enjoy many bike rides throughout the summer.
After you meet with your local officers, walk through the Skokie Park District Flea Market Frenzy in the middle part of the parking lot.
When you are done perusing the market, jump on the Skokie Valley Trail and put those new bicycle skills to use!
Registration is FREE but we are asking for everyone to pre-register so we know how many kids/families we have for giveaways and prizes. Please call/email Aryn Fletcher with any questions at 847.933.4939 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
