Programs

This award-winning facility presents classes, activities, camps, performance and shows in music, theatre, dance, visual arts and circus arts. The center also houses early childhood enrichment programs and culinary arts classes. The Skokie Art Guild, Devonshire Playhouse, Thin Ice Ensemble Theatre and the state-licensed Devonshire Preschool call this facility home. Arts partners such as OROT Producers, The Musical Offering and The Skokie Concert Choir also visit us for workshops and performances. Rentals, art partnerships and a variety of art-related birthday party options are also available.

Special Events throughout the year include the Devonshire County Fair, fall teen and adult musical performances, cultural culinary events, a December dance performance, a winter adult play, Renaissance Faire, Young Performers musical, spring dance performance, Preschool Prom, summer adult musical, summer dance recital, and multiple art shows during the year.

SAGThe Skokie Art Guild offers annual memberships for adult artists and students enrolled in an art degree program. Members may participate in two or more art exhibits throughout the year with opening receptions. They receive the opportunity to pay a discounted drop-in fee for Saturday morning Life Drawing workshops at the Devonshire Cultural Center. Best of all, the Skokie Art Guild fosters connections within the local artist community. Contact Katherine Robinson here to join!

Outside cultural arts groups may conduct classes or events in our space. We offer a limited number of multi-purpose areas, theater, dance and art studios. Outside groups would be required to present in an area of the arts that would complement and not conflict with the current Devonshire curriculum. Class registration or tickets would run through the Skokie Park District. The park district and the group would each receive a percentage of registration or ticket funds.
