Sports Park Named A Top 100 Golf Range in America (Winter 2011)

(02.16.11) For the tenth time since 1998, the Golf Range Association of America (GRAA) and Golf Range Magazine have named Skokie Sports Park one of the top 100 golf practice centers and learning facilities in America.

“Our annual listing recognizes those facilities which have demonstrated the highest commitment to overall excellence, design, customer service and community outreach,” said Steven di Costanzo, president of the GRAA. “We feel that Skokie Sports Park is a clear example of what our industry is all about.”

The Sports Park range features a two-story, 40 station driving range with a brand new automatic tee-up system. Instead of buying a bucket of balls, golfers insert a debit card, the ball is automatically set, and they swing away. The range features a Fiberbuilt® “true grass-like” Hitting System, lights for evening practice and eleven heated stalls for winter practice. Target greens provide a landing area for precise accuracy and distance control.

Sports Park also features golf lessons, two miniature “adventure” golf courses – including the 18-hole Traveler’s Quest course and the 9-hole children’s Kid’s Quest course – as well as batting cages, a pro shop, and meeting and party room rentals.

The GRAA, based in New Canaan, Conn., was formed in 1991. It publishes the industry's leading driving range trade magazine, Golf Range, six times per year.
